Welcome to another Aion guide about blue rewards and unusual quests. This time you don’t have to kill bosses, you don’t need a group and surprisingly you don’t have to grind (at least not too much). I hope these information have attracted your attention.
Inferno sword is a guest reward from the quest Flame Sword. It’s Elyos quest level 37 that starts in Sanctum. This quest is the last part of the quest chain:
An interesting point in this quest chain is an item Fire Sword. This item is a drop from Eltnen mobs Mottled Basilisk and Dried Gnarl (this is the grind part ~2hours). Usually, this item ends up as vendor trash or enchantment stone. The main reason for this is a fact that no one tells you that Fire Sword is a quest starting item. With this item in your inventory bag be sure to go directly to Garperos and you will be able to start the first quest Fire Sword. Garperos will ask you to bring him Flame Essences from Flame Spirits and as a reward you will acquire green Flame Sword.
With the Flame Sword in your hand or inventory bag you can start another quest at level 32 Fire Feather. The quest giver is an elite bird Griffonix, but only by day. Griffonix will ask you to hunt Virago Scavengers, Pretor Looters and Tornado Spirits. When you collect materials your reward will be a Fire Feather.
With Fire Feather and Flame Sword, at level 37, go to Sanctum, find NPC Regmos and start the last quest in this quest chain Flame Sword. Regmos will send you back to Eltnen, where you have to collect Magma Essence and Burning Barghest Tail from Magma Spirit and Burning Barghest in Geroch Caldera. And finally, when you bring the materials to Regmos Inferno sword will wait for you.
When you hit level 30 Fire Temple will become an important instance for you. You can access it very often – a lockdown is 30 minutes from the moment you enter the instance, you have a very good chance to get your first gold loot and it’s a really good way to get XP.
Fire Temple Quests
The Fire Temple can be accessed from Morheim for Asmos, and from Eltnen for Elyos. The instance is actually located in Morheim so the quests that will take you to the Fire Temple will be marked as [Spy/Group] for Elyos.
Elyos – In order to enter the Fire Temple you must obtain a Fire Temple Key. A quest must be completed by everyone in the party, or you will not be able to enter the instance. The best drop rate for the Fire Temple key is at night, outside the Kyola Temple entrance from Raging Obscuras mobs.
Before you enter the Fire Temple Instance take a look if there is a Named Temptress Lichna the Cruel inside Kyola Temple. This boss has also a very nice loot – blue and green weapons level 30.
The Fire Temple entrance is a door in the basement of Kyola Temple in Eltnen. When you enter Kyola Temple go through the door on the right side (just faster access). In the first room (Thorntail Skyray and Shadow Bloodwing mobs) go right again. At the other end of the second room (Inflamed Temptress and Chaotic Temptress mobs) you will see another door, go through that door and go all the way to the other end of the room where you will see the entrance portal to get in.
The last boss has two forms Kromede the Corrupt and Vile Judge Kromede. Vile Judge Kromede is another version of the last Boss in Aion’s Fire Temple instance. This version has a slightly higher chance of dropping epic loot.
To get to the last boss, take the left path but be careful not to fall into the lava. You will not die but there is no way out. If you want to avoid unnecessary fights go left or right and kill the mobs, instead of fighting through the middle of the room. When you clean your path, you can easily pull Kromede a side without aggroing other mobs in the room.
Kromede has very nasty AoE attacks so healers and rangers should stay back as far as they can. She also summons suspicious objects that explode causing additional AoE damage. You have a few seconds to kill them before they explode. They are easy to kill, so it’s a perfect moment for Gladiator to use Seismic Wave skill chain. The rest is tank and spank.
Video of my wife (lvl 37 Gladiator) and I (lvl 35 Chanter) killing the last boss in Aion’s Fire Temple instance. We have managed to clear the instance up to the last boss all by ourselves. The endevour took about 2 hours and we were so happy that the boss dropped some good loot. The boss later on dropped a gold sword for the missus, so it was well worth the time (and the XP was great).
While questing, visiting Abyss, or just exploring new locations, there is a great chance that you will run into nasty mobs or unfriendly players and be defeated. You can always resurrect at an obelisk spot, but it’s much convenient if you can avoid great distance traveling. If you have Tombstone of Revival you can resurrect at the current location, but if you want to speed things up for entire group be sure to have a Kisk Stone in your inventory bag. When you use the Kisk Stone, you will get one more resurrect point if you die.
Kisk Stones
You can think of the Kisk Stones as a mobile Obelisks. You can buy them from a General Goods Merchants at every capitols and summon them nearly everywhere. Depending on the Kisk size, a different amount of people can bind to it. The Kisk lasts for two hours or until destroyed by the enemies. Kisk Stones resurrects players a limited number of times.
Group Kisk: Can be bought at General Goods Merchants ~35000 Kinah, maximum 6 players can be registered
Alliance Kisk: Can be bought at General Goods Merchants ~105000 Kinah, maximum 24 players can be registered)
Legion Kisk: Can be bought at Legion Item vendor, maximum 48 players can be registered
When you activate the Kisk, a confirmation screen gives you information about the amount of people that can bind to the Kisk, resurrection times left and remaining time.
Where to place the Kisk Stone
When you die, you’ll get the option to resurrect at the Kisk or Obelisk location you have bound to. It’s highly recommend to explore and find a hard-reachable location to place the Kisk. In this case even if the enemy saw you resurrection point, it would take him a lot of time to find out the way to get to you. You can also hide your Kisk inside another item so that it cannot be seen.
If enemies find your Kisk they can destroy it or decide to camp near your Kisk where they can easily kill you while you are under soul sickness. Unfortunately when you find out that someone is camping your Kisk Stone it’s usually too late. In this case don’t forget that you always have an option to resurrect at Obelisk point too.
Important Kisk Tips
You can’t use your return skill to go back to the Kisk.
A Curse prevents the use of a Kisk’s resurrection.
Just as with any other type of resurrection all death penalties apply.
A few days ago we wrote about great blue Kratia drops, and now it’s time for another blue-drop mob. Are you looking for a way to get great blue shield level 30 for free? Get ready for farming Snaggletooth and Basalmon’s Shield.
First off, Snaggletooth is not actually a boss in the common definition of the term. He’s not an elite mob, but he’s Named Mob, level 27 about 4,156 HP, much larger than other Basilisk, red-green colored, and it’s not difficult to spot him. His spawn point is near Sataloca’s Grave.
Snaggletooth is one of those mobs that has really divided opinion about respawn time. We have farmed him during day and night. When I tried method “sit and wait” his respawn time was 6-10 hours. Then I tried method “let’s kill mobs around” and he usually appeared after killing Mottled basilisks for 1-2 hours. Also, he has no placeholder!
We hope these information will help you, so happy hunting and enjoy your blue shield!
Kratia spawn time: 5 to 5.5 hours from the moment you kill Harpback Location: Eracus Temple
Kratia spawn place
When you enter Eracus Temple fly down. On your left side is a large platform with mugolems. She spawns near the base of the platform.
Kratia
The best place for killing Kratia is near her spawn place. You can kill her without getting other aggro, and also be hidden from other players who will try to KS you. Kratia is walking around Eracus Temple so the next place where you can pull her is a waterfall at the other side of Eracus Temple. If you have time you should first kill a skyray that flies near the stairs. If you don’t have time pull her as far as you can into the waterfall away from skyray.
Harpback
When you kill Kratia, a giant snake, Harpback, will spawn. His first poison lasts for 60 seconds and prevents flying. The other poison will prevent all forms of HP recovery, so you must have a healer and Healing root from Nepeta (Elios) or Neunan (Asmo) to remove abnormal physical condition.
Also, Harpback makes more damage while you are poisoned, and you will surely die if you don’t remove the poison fast. Healers should stay as far back as possible. If you fail, Harpback will stay in the area where you killed Kratia until killed.
Drops:
Kratia usually doesn’t drop anything, but you can expect pretty nice blue items from Harpback.
