Information and media from the recently announced Aion patch 1.9 is starting to pour in. Massively.com found this video from the big press conference that was held in Korea and it showcases not only the 1.9 changes, but beyond, into the Aion 2.0 content. There are improvements to the gliding across vast distances as well as new bosses. Graphics engine seems to be better as well.

Ariel server hosts a group of brave Asmodians that dared enter Lord Tahabata Pyrelord’s lair and challenge its rule over Dark Poeta. After two weeks of trying and wiping and trying again they fell the beast. Tahabata is famous for having he best loot table in the game (click here to see the Eternal quality gear she drops) and to even see her you need to finish Dark Poeta with the best grade. The kill is the first publicly announced kill and, if not contested, is the first kill on the NA/EU servers. The group consisted of:

DPS Ranger: Dae
Templar: Krull
Cleric: Decoy
Chanter: Qloe
Sorc: Astro

A video from what appears to be the Korean version of the game started circulating the web some time ago. It showcases Aion weapons with funny models/skins. Seems you can model your weapon to look like a trout or carrots or a fork even. The video just speaks for itself. Any comment would be moot.

In line with the above video – I just saw this episode of a show called the Big Bang Theory depicting a MMO dungeon crawl. I think all MMORPG players can relate to this one… Enjoy:

The Halloween event in Aion did not impress. Hopes for Christmas / New Year events were not high either. In stroke of genius NCSoft provided a giant piano in front of the Christmas tree in the capital cities for their Solorius Festival event. Since there is no ciontent like user created content, some great videos have surfaced featuring the aforementioned piano and some highly synchronized players . And finally, something that NCSoft hasn’t announced in the latest patch notes but all Spiritmasters have been waiting for and has been already announced in Korea - Spiritmaster Pets now have the ability to fly. Congratulations!
